Carers

Am I a Carer?

The Carers Trust defines a carer as someone of any age who provides unpaid support to family or friends who could not manage without this help.

This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance abuse problems.

People from all walks of life and backgrounds become carers – over 3 in 5 people will become carers at some point in their lives.
